Adrian is a highly experienced and certified strategy and planning coach to entrepreneurs, CEOs and senior management teams in New Zealand.  He is a natural facilitator enabling teams to adopt and embrace change, new challenges and their growth goals.

Certified in the Scaling Up and 3HAG Way growth platforms he has worked with dozens of mid-market business - helping their leadership teams create, amplify and then execute their growth plans.

With 20 years executive leadership experience in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Dubai and South Africa, Adrian has successfully led medium to large corporations through significant growth and change.  His areas of expertise include strategic thinking, execution planning and leadership development.

John has over 30 years’ experience running multiple businesses, including one of New Zealand’s largest construction and property groups. He is a certified Scaling Up coach.

John’s corporate and business career spans multiple family-owned businesses (McConnell Group) in the construction (Hawkins Group), infrastructure (Steelpipe) and property development (McConnell Property) sectors, investment banking in New Zealand (Jarden Group) and on Wall Street (Merrill Lynch) and engineering (NZ Synthetic Fuels, McConnell Dowell).

In John’s experience of running business, “it’s hard work and running them can be a lonely task. There are huge pressures to perform while making judgement calls without all the information.

John says that when asked about their daily pressures, CEOs often tell him: “I am the only one making all the decisions, working 24/7 with never enough time for myself or my family”.

Rob spent 18 years at global communications company Ericsson, based predominantly in Stockholm, in leadership roles across strategy, business development, and finance. Returning to NZ, he spent 3 years as CFO and GM Strategy & Commercial at Spark Digital, before founding his own consulting and coaching business in 2017.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of Auckland and is lucky enough to have graduated from one of the world’s leading MBA programs at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has held previous Advisory Board roles for two mid-market New Zealand companies; Revera and Computer Concepts Ltd (CCL).

As a certified Scaling Up Coach, Rob draws on a wealth of global best practice resources, IP, and tools to complement his own 20 years of senior leadership experience. He loves putting this into practice to help business leaders achieve strategic clarity, align and engage their teams, and drive step-change improvements in results and value.

Glenn has implemented the Scaling Up methodologies for over 17 years.

He left the NZ Police in 2005, thinking he had no transferable skills in the corporate world.

At the time, he had no idea the years of policing the streets had given him some incredibly powerful insights and experience in human behaviour that would transform his career.

In 2006 he was introduced to the Scaling Up performance platform and has implemented this in all his corporate roles and businesses he has owned ever since.

Joining the team at SureFire Search Marketing in 2011 as director of sales, he built an entirely new division focused on SME businesses. In a 3.5yr period, he built a 25-strong sales team and made the Deloitte Fast 500 tech firms in Asia in 2014 and led them through an acquisition process in which the company was acquired by a US Tech marketing firm.

Since then, Glenn has owned and consulted with high-growth firms on implementing Scaling Up systems to increase profits and valuations with less drama and is a certified Scaling Up Coach and practitioner.

The Scaling Up Performance Platform, alongside his open, honest and often unorthodox approach to utilising Social Media was a cornerstone strategy to build the business, and in 2017 founded Connect The Dots, which is a business with the express purpose of educating and supporting high-growth businesses.

Glenn is now also frequently asked to coach & train organisations at private events & conferences around NZ with topics ranging from Scaling Business, LinkedIn, ‘Social Selling’ & Why Every Business Owner Should Run an Ultra Marathon Run.

John has a rich history as a business leader across many continents and companies which he brings to his role as an inspiring and authentic coach. He is a natural connector with a strong commercial acumen and thrives on working with highly engaged teams and businesses to achieve their full potential.

John has implemented Scaling Up processes in businesses that he has worked in and as a business owner, so he is able to bring practical experience to his clients. His experience spans from executive roles in global corporates to hands on involvement in smaller owner operated businesses, as well as corporate and not-for-profit governance roles.

John brings a blend of professionalism, debate and humour to all of his Scaling Up engagements. He is passionate about working with companies and organisations that are committed to improving people and the planet.

Over a 25 year corporate career he has held leadership roles in Africa, Europe and Australia including as the CFO and interim CEO of a listed trans-Tasman glass company with operations across Australia and New Zealand.

More recently John has been advising family and owner operated companies going through periods of growth and change. He is also a co-owner of a high growth health food business selling into Australia and New Zealand markets.

John has an Honours degree in Finance and Accounting and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. As a rehabilitated accountant John has been involved across all facets of business and has deep experience in execution and cash management.

Personal Highlights
Married with 3 children, John loves time spent with family, travel, new experiences and the outdoors lifestyle that New Zealand offers. He is an enthusiastic (but amateur) carpenter, gardener and cook and is inspired to make a positive impact on the world.
